What happens when an older adult can no longer drive?

For many communities, the answer isn’t simple.

Across America, small towns and rural communities are facing a growing aging-in-place challenge. Older adults want to remain in the homes and communities they know and love, but transportation and other support systems don’t always keep pace with their needs.

The Mobility Matters Solution is a community-driven playbook for helping rural communities build better transportation solutions for older adults—starting with lessons learned in Weld County, Colorado.

Developed through more than 20 years of real-world experience serving older adults in a rural community, this Playbook offers a practical starting point for communities ready to understand their unique transportation challenges, bring the right people to the table, and build solutions that work locally.

One Voice. One Story. Hear Brenda share what transportation means to her.
Because a ride can change everything.

Because the best time to build a transportation solution is before someone needs it.
